Turkeys were given out to the seniors right next door. I am a senior, and i am also a customer. I carry the turkey, ask them to cut it for me, and they refuse. I had a turkey before, and the previous management cut it for me. THIS MANAGERMENT NOW IS NO GOOD. They do not care about the customer. They do not even want the cashiers to speak with the customers. Overall, that is BAD customer service. Another thing, they will have a sale price on an item when you get to the cashier it is a different price, or it is not the right item. Bad customer service.

11/22/2023 I went to Food universe in bronx and with my wheel bag? I had other things in the and purchased some food it wasn't after 9pm and the mangr there wanted to pack my bag? I told her no then she had the Nerve to check my bag like I stole stole something I told her there's no need to check the bag? Then out of no where the Male manager comes to check the the entire bag and told he's got to make sure? Those SOB's donts speak proper English and nor do some of the cashiiers either. They no business checking any bags at all! I shop there regularly and spent a lot of money there. That sore in Section 5 in the north east bronx is the WORST!!! I would not recommend this to anyone. The upper management needs quality workers who can relate to the community because theres a Language barrier which they clearly do not care. I'm totally Disgusted to shop over to that supermarket.

Plus: Good cashiers, great location and they try to have a decent produce section. Minus: Overpriced for basic items, few organic selections, aisles are crowded. The meat section is to be avoided at all cost, especially the infamous “manager’s special” I try to get the basics here and my bigger shopping through Fresh Direct.

Their prices are eh! Some of the workers are nice and helpful and do their best to accommodate, however I'd check their stuff for freshness at times for I have had my fare share of not too good experiences. But overall love them

There fruits and veggies as a lot to be desired. The person in charge of that section doesn’t care if the product is fresh . If the product is not good he still puts it on the shelf like cucumber peppers tomatoes etc etc etc. Either teach him or get rid of him Or get rid of the people who are delivering nasty products do your store.

I usually come here for one or two things. They usually make good sandwiches, went in today for one. Terrible. New girl doesn't listen to your order correctly (gotta be her airpods).. prices for certain things are fair and for others is just straight up outrageous. If you're trying to fill the fridge this place is not it. Walk to the nearby stop and shop. Used to have good ppl working here, they're not here for a reason. Someone on another review said they've been declining every year customer service wise and it is true. Only nice ppl are the girls working the register, they are courteous and patient.

Wish I can give ZERO stars. Let's be very clear, the ONLY reason this place makes money is because they are convenient. I've lived in co-op for over 20 years and I've seen this place decline every year. Friends of mine have even worked there when they were teens. Change the management all you want, it doesn't matter if they all share the same BAD practices. OLD-DUSTY (literally) products on the shelves. Prices are hardly up to date and when you point that out the manager or the deli worker they have an attitude. STOP taking it personal and just do your job. Every time I go in there I have to keep an eye on the register because there is always something that scans incorrectly. The sale sign will say one price but the register says something differently. Take the appropriate amount of time to organize your store before you open and these constant inconsistencies will lessen.
